Once a month when the moon is full, something magical happens on Lady Bird Lake. We stay open late, the city lights come on, and local musicians play from the shoreline while paddlers drift past in canoes, kayaks, and SUPs. It's one of Austin's most beloved outdoor traditions — and you can only experience it from the water.
Boats launch at dusk. The glow of the full moon on the water, the downtown skyline in the background, music floating across the lake — it's the kind of evening that makes you remember why Austin is special.
Tickets are available through Eventbrite and sell out fast. Arrive early to secure your group's boats. Life jackets are included for all paddlers. No alcohol on the water — bring your favorite non-alcoholic drinks.
4th of July on the Water
There's no better seat for Austin's Independence Day fireworks than a canoe on Lady Bird Lake. We open early and stay late on the 4th — no tickets needed, just walk up, bring cash, and enjoy the show.
